Even as we confidently trust God to help us grow in our spiritual lives, there are various threats and dangers along the road to spiritual maturity. One prominent obstacle for many young men comes in the area of human sexuality. We must seriously approach this issue, realizing that sexual sin presents not only a spiritual barrier in our lives but also many dangerous real-life consequences. In order to continue to grow spiritually, we need to understand God’s wonderful intent for us in human sexuality and respond in obedience to the authority and wisdom of Scripture. Through God’s grace, we can be assured of forgiveness for our sexual sins and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to help us live pure lives.
