Serving is a huge part of what we do at Crossroads. Getting connected in an area of service is a great way to jump start and energize your faith. Know that when you jump in and serve you become a part of a team of people who will care for and challenge you. You will have an opportunity to get to know those you are serving with on a deeper level. Plugging in and serving on one of our teams will help make an impact in the Mahoning Valley and beyond! If you are interested in jumping on a team let us know!
Some churches have members - we have volunteers! We have a huge volunteer force of talented, gifted, unique and committed "unpaid staff." By joining a team, you are not only impacting the community by serving, you are able to build relationships and experience community with your team.
If you want to become a part of what we're doing swing by the "Next Steps" table or email Pastor Doug doug@cometocrossroads.org
To become a volunteer, simply:
1. Choose an area or team of interest
2. Complete a Profile Page
Once we've identified the best place your gifts can be used you will be scheduled for your First Serve in Volunteering. It includes a brief orientation to Crossroads and the opportunity to shadow your area or team of interest.
3. Complete Volunteer Orientation
Volunteer Orientation is a time that is dedicated to walking through the culture of volunteer staff at Crossroads. You will walk away from volunteer orientation knowing what Crossroads is all about and how you will play a key role in what we do.
4. Commit to Volunteering
At Crossroads, the initial commitment period is three months. Once you’ve volunteered in a role for three months, you may continue in that role, try something different, or take a break from volunteering.
